Welcome to Sparta First Baptist Church!
You Can Help!
We have discussed in our recent deacons meeting and leadership meeting, that our church building needs a lot of attention and updating.
While the Building and Grounds Committee identifies our needs and a plan to accomplish such things, we have begun looking at our nursery and what we can do to give it a fresh, new and clean look. If you have worked in the nursery or dropped your child/grandchild off during church services, you have noticed that it needs a lot of attention. From sheetrock, to flooring, to cabinets, to toys, to books, everything needs updating.
As we attempt to attract new young members, it is important that we put our best foot forward and our nursery is one of the main attractions for young families.
Materials for the walls and flooring along with other construction material will be purchased before the year ends.
In an effort to get our members involved, we are establishing a registry, just like you would see for prospective parents, so that you can purchase much needed items for the nursery.
Beginning in January, we will have a link uploaded to the church website so that you may click on the link to purchase these items and have them drop shipped to the church.
Thank you for your support of our church and this worthy cause.
Thank You,
Brett Jarret, Deacon Chairman

Singing Christmas Tree Presents “Glorious Light of Christmas” arranged by Marty Hamby.
With the Covid-19 Protocol:All in attendance will be required to wear a mask and subject to symptom monitoring prior to entering the church. There will be no congregational singing. Social distancing practices will mirror our current worship service(s) set-up. In order to encourage avoidance of crowd “congestion”, at the conclusion of each performance ushers will direct attendees – row by row – to two separate exits in the sanctuary. Likewise, attendees in the Fellowship Hall will be similarly dismissed. Attendees must have a ticket as sanctuary seating capacity for each performance is 120 and 30 in Fellowship Hall.
